Description: The Commission resolved to approve without conditions the acquisition of share in Ninety-Nine FM (Pty) Ltd (“99 FM”) and in One Africa Television (Pty) Ltd (“One African Television”) by Namibia Future Media (Pty) Ltd.
Acquiring group: The primary acquiring undertaking owns and controls Namibian radio stations Radiowave, Omulunga Radio, Fresh FM and Nova 1035, and Future Media News.
Target undertaking: The first primary target undertaking is One Africa Television, a multi-genre, multi-platform television entertainment and media brand. The second primary target undertaking is Ninety-Nine FM, a privately owned Namibian radio station. Ninety-Nine FM also operates in the space of advertising and offers an online shop with a range of media products.
Relevant market: Defined as the provision of radio broadcasting market in Namibia.
