The ESR Division conducts economic analysis, evaluates competition cases, and monitors markets to inform enforcement of competition law. It also advises on policy revisions and explores emerging competition issues.

Enforcement, Exemptions & Cartels

The EEC Division enforces the Competition Act to address anticompetitive practices like cartels, abuse of dominance, and restrictive behaviors. It oversees exemptions and handles complaints about market misconduct.

Mergers & Acquisitions

This division oversees merger investigations under Chapter 4 of the Competition Act. All proposed mergers must be notified, analyzed, and approved by the Commission to ensure they do not harm competition.
